Our approach to scoliosis involves a multi faceted approach. To understand why the spine is “curved” we must look at the control center that is involved in that process. There is an area within the brain called your cerebellum, particularly the midline, that is involved in controlling paraspinal musculature. When this area becomes imbalanced, aberrant muscle firing occurs resulting in stronger and weaker sides in the spine. Assessing this area is crucial to obtaining lasting changes for scoliosis. Different cerebellum rehab exercises are then prescribed to specifically activate that weak area of the cortex. This can consist of eye exercises, vibration therapy, vestibular rehab, specific fast stretch manipulations, etc. We also utilizea our new technology called the ATM2 device ( This device exercises the midline area and re establishes that neural connection to improve posture and decrease aberrant neurological input.
